I spent the better part of last week in Manila. Manila was...........OK. I have to say it did not really leave and impression on me. The Spanish influence was definitely apparent in architecture, culture, and religion; 90% Catholic. I got some good food and picked up a couple things that you are not able to find here. Two people I work with and I spent Wednesday in a conference learning about the accreditation process we will be going through next year. It was sweet....not.
Chris and I had a six hour layover in Bangkok. We hopped in a cab and booked downtown to an Irish Pub I know of. Free WiFi and Guinness on tap as well as tasty eats.
Here are some more pictures from a day of revelry I partook in a few weeks back.
Two things to remember:
1. Drinking and driving go-carts in Cambodia is not illegal.
2. If you really want to bring it, wear your gold Elvis suit complete with gold cape.
